I am delighted to announce that the august New England Historical Genealogical Society (NEHGS), America’s founding genealogical society, established in 1845, recently honored me by commissioning me to author a book on the steps required to create a work of memoir or biographical cultural (oral) history. The book will use anecdotal material gleaned from the multiplicity of interviews and experiences I have had in writing my books on Brookline, baseball, and classical music, as well as from my two memoirs on my boyhood and adult years as reflected in experiences in and around long-gone Braves Field, and still-pulsating Fenway Park. I expect that the book will be completed within a year.
